5 Scenes in the Book of Revelation Showing Multitudes of Saints in Heaven
Moses L H Tay

The 5 scenes were presented to us in chronological order whereby we learned that:
a) The Rapture event will take place before the 7 years reign of the Antichrist begins, that is, it is a Pre-tribulation Rapture.
b) The Great Tribulation mentioned here in Revelation 7:14 were not the same as the Great Tribulation Jesus spoke about in Matthew 24:21. The Great Tribulation in Revelation is at the end of the Church Age to prepare the Gentile church for the Rapture while the one in Matthew 24 takes place at the second half of the reign of the Antichrist to prepare Israel (the Jews) for the second coming of their Messiah. Failure to differentiate this caused certain scriptures to be irreconcilable.
For further explanation, refer to my earlier article entitled “Comparison Between Revelation 6 & 7 and Matthew 24”
Let’s take a look at each of the 5 scenes.
Scene 1 (Rev.6:9-11)
This scene was presented to the Apostle John when the 5th Seal opened. There were souls slain due to their testimony and the word of God, and they were kept temporary in a special place under the Altar of God in Heaven. They were martyrs for their faith and they cried out to the Lord to take revenge on the people who killed them.
They were given white robes to wear, told to be patient and wait for the other martyred believers who will be joining them later. Obviously, this scene showed the initial batch of martyrs. The completed group of martyrs was also shown to John but at a later date (refer to Scene 5).
Soon after the opening of the 5th Seal there was a sudden spike of beheading that occurred in the Middle East & North Africa. In total, about 300 people were beheaded from 2014 to 2017 by the Islamic State (IS) and its affiliates, although not all of them were Christians.
Scene 2 (Rev.7:9-17)
The Apostle John saw a great multitude of people from many tribes & nations who stood before the throne of God wearing white robes with palms in their hands.
One of the 24 elders asked John who these multitudes of people were, and where did they come from. As John had no idea, the elder told him that they came out of the Great Tribulation. Now, this scene John witnessed took place at the end of the 6th Seal, just before the opening of the 7th Seal.
What occurred during the period of the 6th Seal (Rev.6:12 to 7:17)?
At the opening of the 6th Seal the Apostle John was initially shown (Rev.6:12-17):
i) There was a great earthquake
ii) The sun became black & the moon became as blood
iii) The stars of heaven fell to the earth
iv) Every mountain & island moved out of their places, and
v) The heaven departed as a scroll and rolled up together
Regarding number (iii) above, Prophet David Owuor was shown in a dream on July 23, 2025 what is to take place soon -- a monumental planetary event of three neutron stars to collide soon in deep space. As a result of the collision a piece of the star falls to the earth into the ocean. Listen to the prophecy [here].
Regarding number (v) above “The heaven departed as a scroll and rolled up together” can be understood as a pathway in heaven was cleared for the coming of the Lord to take His Church in the Rapture. We recall how Jehovah instructed Moses to strike the Red Sea with his rod. It caused the seawater to roll back and be like walls of water on the left and right sides. This enabled the Children of Israel to walk on dry land to escape the Egyptian armies who pursued after them (Exodus 14:15-16 & 21-22).
The events listed above caused great fear among the people of the world. They understood that God was pouring out His wrath on them.
After this there was another scene in which John saw an angel held back 4 other angels from hurting the earth and the sea until he had put the seals of God on the foreheads of His servants. The servants of God are Jews numbered 144,000, that is, 12,000 from each of the twelve tribes of Israel (Rev.7:1-8).
What happened next was the scene described in Rev.7:9-17. As I mentioned before, this scene took place at the end of the 6th Seal. Since the elder told John that the multitude “came out of great tribulation” (Rev.7:14), this means the 6th Seal is a period of the Great Tribulation. It is important to note there was no mention of the multitude having to overcome the beast or the Antichrist as this Great Tribulation is not the same as the Great Tribulation during the reign of the Antichrist. Hence, we conclude that the multitude of people in this scene is the Raptured believers.
Note: At this point in time we are living in the period of the 6th Seal.
Scene 3 (Rev.14:1-5)
In this scene the Apostle John was shown the second time the 144,000 Jews who earlier had their foreheads sealed with the seals of God while they were on the earth. On this occasion they were standing before the throne of God having been redeemed from the earth.
Scene 4 (Rev.15:1-4)
The Apostle John saw what appeared to be a ‘sea of glass mingled with fire.’ Standing thereon were saints who have the victory over the beast, over his image, over his mark and over the number of his name. Evidently, those saints were overcomers during the reign of the Antichrist. However, there was no mention of beheading among this group of saints.
Scene 5 (Rev.20:4)
At the closing days of the 7 years reign of the Antichrist, another group of overcomers was shown to John. This group of martyred souls was beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God. They refused to worship the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands.
This scene must have included the martyred souls mentioned in Scene 1.
